Software which I've written
On the page below I've described some of the OSS software that I've written, see also the patches section below.
Linux on the IBM Thinkpad G40
This document describes how to install, customize and configure Debian GNU/Linux on the IBM ThinkPad G40. Hopefully the instructions should also be helpful on other distributions, but be aware that some file paths or entire subsystems may be setup differently. Previously the document was maintained as a single part HTML file, but it's now been migrated to a DocBook XML file which is used to build the different formats listed below.
Building a HTPC
I wanted to build a dedicated MythTV box which fit together with the other stereo components. In addition, I wanted it to have a decent amount of storage space and to be dead silent. The solution was to buy a HTPC case (Kanam Accent HT-100S) and add an external watercooling system (Zalman Reserator). I haven't yet documented the process of configuring the system, but I've made a gallery of pictures from when I assembled the system.
